With a length of 3,915 miles, Yangtze River is the longest river in both China and Asia. Besides appreciating the picturesque scenery along the river, you can also explore Tibetan plateau, the source of Yangtze River. What’s more, you will experience different life-style and landscape in Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, and Shanghai during this tour.
At first, you will visit Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven and Mutianyu Great Wall in Beijing, and board an overnight Beijing-Xi’an train. Then, you will explore Terra-cotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and Shanxi History Museum in Xi’an before taking a flight to Lhasa. After visiting Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, Drepung and Sera Monastery in Lhasa, you will take a 2-hour flight to Chengdu to visit the Giant Panda Base and experience the leisurely life there. You will board the Yangtze River cruise in Chonging which is about 2 hours’ train ride from Chengqu, and visit Fengdu Gost City, Shibaozai Pagoda, Three Gorges Dam during the cruise journey.
