Itinerary Day by Day
Day1 Board the train to Lhasa from Beijing
The train departs from Beijing West Railway Station, Train Z21 from Beijing to Lhasa departs at 20:10. It takes about 1 hour to check in as the train takes about 1000 passengers. Please be sure to arrive in train station 1 hour and a half before the train departure. Your Tibet Permit will need to be checked when you check in.
Stay overnight on the Train.
Day2 Train to Lhasa
It is quite a long journey that will take about 41 hours, two days and two nights in the Train, at the first day you will pass through two important provincial capital cities in northwest China, Lanzhou and Xining. Xining is known as the beginning of Qinghai-Tibet Railway. Travelling along the rail line, you could see the scenery of countryside and city in northwest China. The last stop for today is Xining, where you will arrive at about 15:10.

Day3 Scenery View of Tibet Railway, arrive in Lhasa at about 13:03
Today, you will witness the most beautiful scenery of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, the land of snows, the desert, the grassland, the ice mountains, the lakes will continually appear and strongly attract your heart.
You will arrive in Lhasa at about 13:03, your tour guide will hold a board with your name on it and the exit of the train station to welcome you. A private car will take you from the train station to the reserved hotel.

Day4 Lhasa Sightseeing: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor street (B)
Morning section to visit the famous Potala Palace and explore the grandest of this myriad chapels, you will experience its audience halls, the jeweled and Golden burial chortens(stupa Tombs) of past Dalai Lamas, and tremendous number of Buddhist frescoes, thangkas, combinations of mandala etc.
Afternoon section visiting to the holist temple in Tibet, the Jokhang Temple, built during songtsen gonpo's reign by princess wencheng of tang dynasty, 647 A.D, and its famous Barkor Kora, where you can buy or appreciate traditional Tibetan artifacts, religious implements, antiques, books, Tibetan music instrument, Thangkas, and tradition tibetan clothes etc. you will have chance to get close to appreciate how the artists draw Thangkas at the Thakangka workroom at Barkhor.

Day5 Lhasa Sightseeing: Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery (B)
Today, you will visit two important monasteries in Lhasa, the Drepung and the Sera. Drepung monastery is situated at the foothill of a mountain and was founded by Jamyang Choeje in 1416. It was once home of 10000 monks and Ganden podrang in Drepung is famous it was the government centre during fifth dalai lama and later moved to the famous potala palace during fifth dalai lama.then you will visit the Carpet Factory, you can see how the world-famous Tibetan carpets are made.
After having lunch, continue to visit the Sera Monastery, which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa's disciple Jamchen Choeje. The most attractive is that Monks debiting is held there in the courtyard at around 3-5 in the afternoon section most of the time.

Day6 Driving towards the Gyantse(B)
A few kilometers from chushor is famous pass kangpa-la with4700m. From the top of the pass in clear weather, you can see the fabulous shade of deep torquoise. Yamdrok-tso Lake is shaped like coiling scorpion with deep blue in colour. Far in the distance is the huge massif of mount Nanchan kangtsang (7191m).
Leaving Yamdrok-tso is a spectacular as arriving, since you have to cross the 4960m karo-la with its awesome roadside views of the Nanchan- Kangtsang glacier. It was here that Younghusband's british troops clashed with Tibetan forces en route to lhasa.
Then reached to your day's final destination Gyantse.

Day7 Driving towards Sakya, visit Kubhum monastery, Tashilhunpo Monastery, and Sakya Monastery (B)
Driving Towards Shigatse in the morning after visiting famous Gyantse Kubhum.
In Shigatse, you will visit the famous Tashi Lhunpo Monastery where you can see the well preserved largest statue of Jampa (future god) in the world. The monastery itself is abiding place for the successive Penchen Lamas.
Driving towards the Sakya County where you can visit the famous Sakya Monastery. The most interesting thing in Sakya sect is that the sect donot believe in reincarnation and the head of sakya sect will wear white cassock and also marry to birth their child for next generation. Then take a good rest in Sakya.
Stay overnight in Sakya County.
Day8 Driving towards the Everest Base Camp and relax a night at Rongbuk guesthouse (B)
There is about 5 hours driving from Sakya to Rongpuk, road is under construction. From Tingri to E.B.C with the very rough road, pass the wild grassland, cross the Rapids River and high mountains.
If it is in clear weather, you can have a glimpse of 4 mountains which is 8000m high or more, such as: Mt. Lhotse(8516m),Mt. Everest(8848m), Mt. Qowowuyag(8201m),Mt Mayalu(8463m). Enjoy your remaining time at Everest base camp.
Stay overnight in Ronguk Guest House or Tent.
Day9 Rongphu Monastery - Everest Base Camp - Zhangmu (or Nylam) (B)
Early in the morning, you can enjoy the beautiful sun rising scene from the top of the Mount Everest and can also explore the nearby natural ecosystem. Then in the afternoon go down from E.B.C back to Shegar. Then you will go west to Zhangmu (or Nylam) with our tour guide.
Stay overnight in Zhangmu.
Day10 See you off at Nepalese Border (B)
Our Guide will drop you off at next morning at the border bridge, You are kindly required to hike on your own to cross the border bridge which is 50ms long, then check in Nepal side, you can get the Nepal visa upon arrival with 30USD, please prepare one photo at passport size to get Nepal Visa. Next step, you need to find a car or bus towards Kathmandu, 50ms ahead from border bridge, dezens of car or bus are parking here to pick up travelers;3000 Nepali Rupee for a taxi rental to Kathmandu(50USD) , 50 Nepali Rupee(Appro.1USD) for a bus seat.
End tour at Nepalese Border.
