The Chengdu to Lhasa train (No. Z322) provides the third shortest train ride from mainland China to Tibet, in terms of the total trip duration. It departs every other day from Chengdu Railway Station at 21:37 and arrives at Lhasa Railway Station at 9:55 on the third day, after running for about 36 hours. For the return trip to Chengdu, the train also departs every other day from Lhasa Railway Station. Chengdu to Tibet by Flight

Chengdu offers the most frequent flights to Lhasa compared to other gateway cities. There are 14 direct flights between Chengdu and Lhasa every day from early morning to midnight. It only takes about 2 hour and 20 minutes to arrive at Lhasa Gonggar Airport.
