You will first discover the ancient city of Kathmandu, visiting its historic temples and fine architectures, like Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath. Then in the beautiful lake city of Pokhara, you will spend your quality time exploring the highlights there, including Mahendra Cave, David Fall and Mahendra Bridge. Taking a boat ride in Phewa Lake will be an awesome experience for you to relax and appreciate amazing landscapes of the Annapurna. After that, you will enjoy a jungle safari in the Chitwan National Park, and adventure in the floral forests. Finally, you will return to Kathmandu for your flight to next destination.

Itinerary Day by Day

Day1 Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal! Upon your arrival, your local guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to have a good rest at hotel.

Day2 Kathmandu Tour: Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath

Today, you will visit three UNESCO World Heritage Sites. As one of the iconic buildings of Nepal, Kathmandu’s Durbar Square would be our first stop. Durbar literally means palace, where the former kings ascend the throne and rule the country. You can stroll along the three main parts of Durbar Square and sit on the terraced platform to feel the vibe of Nepali city.

Then we will visit Pashupatinath Temple, which serves as source of Hindu spiritual power. Shiva is worshipped here as Pashupati, the lord of the beasts. You can see the dead of Shiva, being cremated on the banks of the holy river. Don’t forget to take photos with sadhus with outlandish clothes and red tika on the forehead.

And Bouddhanath is our last visit today. The gigantic stupa originally serves as the staging post for businessman travelling between Lhasa and Kathmandu. Now, the holy stupa is a hot destination, drawing numerous pilgrims, both Hindus and Tibetan Buddhists, to do the kora under the gaze of the Buddha. Monasteries and workshops selling incense, butter lamps, and Tibetan drums and other souvenirs can be found. The strong bond between Tibet and Nepal and historical significance are so palpable.

Day3 Kathmandu - Bhaktapur - Nagarkot

After breakfast, you will head to Nagarkot from Kathmandu. Along the way, you will have a sightseeing in the heritage city of Bhaktapur. The Bhaktapur's Dubar Square is a good place to visit, which features the Victorian illustrations style with temples and temples complex.

As we continue to Nagarkot, you will take in awesome Himalayan views. Nagarkot is a popular hill site of Nepal, and is famous for viewing sunset & sunrise.

Day4 Nagarkot to Pokhara

Early in the morning, you can enjoy a moment to take in the stunning view of Himalayan peaks in the morning light. Then, you will head to Pokhara from Nagrarkot. After your arrival in Pokhara, the rest of the day is at your own leisure.

Day5 Pokhara Tour: Mahendra Cave, David Fall, Mahendra Bridge

Today, you will enjoy a full-day sightseeing in the lake city of Pokhara. You will first visit the Mahendra Cave, a large limestone cave which houses a statue of Hindu lord Shiva inside. Next, the trip continues to Davis Falls. Davis Falls is unique waterfall that lies 2 km from central Pokhara city. Then you will visit the Mahendra Bridge, a new suspension footbridge. While you walk through this bridge, you will get fine views of the river below.

Day6 Pokhara Tour: Phewa Lake

After breakfast, you will enjoy the boating on Phewa Lake. Nowhere else can better exemplify Pokhara’s beauty than the stunning image of Annapurna reflected in crystal-clear Phewa Lake. After the boating, you can relax with your own activities in the afternoon.

Day7 Pokhara to Chitwan

After breakfast, we will drive from Pokhara to Chitwan. Chitwan is famous for its Chitwan National Park (CNP), the first national park in Nepal, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After arriving in Chitwan, you can either take a jungle safari or natural walks depending on the time of arrival. During the safari, you will go deep into the jungle to see one horned Rhino and many more endangered animals. If you are lucky enough, you will see the elusive royal Bengal tigers. If you do the natural walk, you will see a wide variety of flora and fauna and spend some time bird watching.

Day8 A Full Day Chitwan Sightseeing

Today, we will enjoy a full-day sightseeing in Chitwan National Park. We will first ride on the elephant for a jungle safari through dense grasslands. Then we will visit the elephant stables and even enjoy bathing the elephants.

In the afternoon, you can drive through the jungles and then enjoy a canoe ride down the Rapti River. During canoeing, you may get a close look at the Gharial, Mugger crocodiles, fresh water dolphins, and some other water birds. Or, you can choose to take a natural walk with bird watching for the afternoon instead.

Day9 Chitwan to Kathmandu

Today, we will drive back to Kathmandu from Chitwan. Upon arrival, your guide will take you to the hotel. The rest of the day is at your own leisure.

Day10 Depart from Kathmandu

Today, the guide will transfer you to the airport, then you can take your flight home or your next destination.
