8 Days Classic Poon Hill Trekking Tour in Nepal

Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal! Upon your arrival, your local guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to have a good rest at hotel.

After tasty breakfast in hotel, let’s enjoy the spiritual odyssey in a number of must-visit medieval heritage sites. As one of the iconic buildings of Nepal, Kathmandu’s Durbar Square would be our first stop. Durbar literally means palace, where the former kings ascend the throne and rule the country. You can stroll along the three main parts of Durbar Square and sit on the terraced platform to feel the vibe of Nepali city.

Then we will head to the renowned “Monkey Temple” - Swayambhunath. With lovely monkeys jumping around on the gilded spire of the temple, you can see the iconic Buddha’s eye on the stupa. The pious religious worshippers doing kora around the stupa and burning butter lamps and smell of incense draw you back to the similar experience in Tibet.

Afternoon we are about to visit Patan City, 15 minutes’ drive from Kathmandu. In fact, Durbar Square is not exclusive to Kathmandu. Ancient temples literally are packed in Pantan City. Pantan Durbar Square, Golden Temple and Taleju Temple, etc. are some of the best places to take photos. You will learn more of the legends of Nepali deities and kings.

After breakfast, you will take a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a beautiful city of Nepal, where you can enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayas. Upon your arrival, you will transfer to Nayapul and start your trek to Tikhedhunga. En route, you will appreciate the beautiful landscape of the hills with small villages and fields, to see how the locals live harmoniously with the great nature. You will have lunch at Sudami before reaching Tikhedhunga.

Today you will take a trek from the teahouse to Ghorepani.

Today you will first climb to Ulleri and reach Nangethanti through a picturesque area of the old oak forests. After having lunch at Nangethanti, you will continue the climbing trip to Ghorepani.

In the early morning, you will climb for about one hour to Poon Hill, one of the top mountain hiking destinations in Nepal. Here you can have a panorama view of the Himalaya mountain ranges, including the peaks of Dhualagiri, Annapurna Himal and Machhapuchhure.

After enjoying the great time in Poon Hill, you will trek back to Ghorepani and move on the Tadapani. The trekking trail from Tadapani stretches through the hills with beautiful sceneries to Tadapani.

Today you will finish the last section of the Poon Hill trekking from Tadapani to Nayapul via Syauli Bazar. The whole journey is through the typical Nepalese hillside, during which you can enjoy the splendid landscapes of the forests, the snow-capped mountains and terraced rice fields.

When you arrive in Nayapul, you will be transfer back to Pokhara. The rest of the day is free for you.

Today you will take a flight back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, your Nepal tour guide will meet you and take you to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours to rest in the hotel or have a strolling around.

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and then take you to the airport, helping you with your luggage and checking in for your flight home from Nepal.
