    Please make sure you have got the Tibet Travel Permit before you entering Tibet. It will be check while you enter Tibet, and during your trip in Tibet. If you plan to continue your trip in Tibet to further areas, like the Everest Base Camp or Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, you need to apply for extra travel permits, such as the Aliens’ Travel Permit and Military Permit.

  • Best Time to Go

    The best time to take an overland trip to Tibet is spring and autumn, during which you can enjoy the most beautiful scenery en route. Summer is also a good time, but the rich rainfall may make the road in the mountain areas in Sichuan and Yunnan muddy and even trigger landscapes.     Travelling through the Xinjiang-Tibet highway is the most challenge way to enter Tibet for the average altitude along the way is over 4500 metres. Even through other highways to Tibet, you may need to pass through several mountains with high altitude.
